What is NLP?

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), was the creation of Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970′s.  It is a fast and effective way to reprogram the way you think, which allows you to not only rid yourself of unwanted blocks, feelings and behaviours but also to enhance your potential in all areas of your life leading to a happier and more fulfilling existence.

How does NLP work?

Neuro – We experience the world through sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.

Linguistic – We then process these sensations and use language to express our experience of the world.

Programming – The behaviour that results from the way in which we perceive the world we live in.

Our minds are much like computers which are programmed to have specific responses to specific situations. Sometimes our programming does not work well for us, as in the example of a phobia, where fear is an unwanted response to a situation. Our programming can also result in unwanted ‘blocks’ which can leave us feeling frustrated but unsure of how to change our behaviour. NLP can change our programming. It works by using specific language patterns to speak directly to the subconscious mind resulting in fast and profound changes at a deep level.

Such is the recognised power of NLP for inducing rapid and lasting change, that it is now used by top athletes and performers, politicians, business leaders and educators all over the world.
